MPhil in Writing student wins 2015 Manchester Poetry Prize

LUCY Ingrams, winner of the 2015 Manchester Poetry Prize declared herself “bamboozled” by the judges’ decision to award her the £10,000 first prize.

Lucy, who is studying for an MPhil in Writing at the University of South Wales, won for her poems 'So will there be apples?’, 'Signs’, 'A hearting space’, Siena’ and 'August Letter’.

This year's Moot Court series opens with poet Paul Henry

The poet Paul Henry presents the first of this season’s Moot Court readings, organised by the English Research Unit.

One of the leading poets writing from Wales, Paul Henry brings together twenty years of his haunting and musical verse in his fine New and Selected Poems, The Brittle Sea. He will read from this and recent work, and also talk about his radio writing and presenting.
